Packing supplies and tips

ImageWe sell packing supplies and packing services in and around Vancouver. One option is for us to sell you the supplies and you pack yourself, the other option is for the full service move where we sell you the boxes, package them up and execute the move.

For the full packing service there isn’t much you need to do expect to pick up the phone and give us our address. The truck will show up with the supplies the day prior to the move and get it done. While this option is the most expensive, it is the most convenient and less time consuming. This option will also give you full insurance coverage since our team of professionals controlled how items were packed in the boxes in order to minimize if not completely illuminate risk of damages.

Self packing is also fine but please be advised that the content of the boxes will not be covered by our insurance policies. You can pick up the items at our Vancouver Moving office or we can deliver them to you for a nominal fee. Large orders in Vancouver might qualify for free delivery. For non fragile items and if you have time on your hand it is the most economical option.

Here are a few tips to make your job easier:

-         Pack most of your belongings way ahead of moving day

-         Close and tape all boxes

-         Distribute the weight evenly in boxes, books on the bottom and lighter items on top

-         Be careful not to overload the boxes

-         Label room where the boxes belong with a marker

-         Use dry popcorn instead of more expensive foam chips, does the same job at a fraction of the price

-         Use professional packing paper instead of newsprint on dishes, newspapers soil and stain dishes
